SUBJECT: Welcome Back!

Announcements

Hello Lakeview Families,

Welcome back! It was wonderful to meet so many of our Lakeview families at Meet the Teacher on Monday! I just love the excitement of the beginning of a new school year and look forward to seeing everyone on campus tomorrow!

We have a great year ahead of us! Your PTA has been hard at work this past summer planning some amazing programs and events for our students and families.

We hope that you were able to connect at Bobcat 101 during Meet the Teacher, but if you missed that presentation you can find it here. Tomorrow all of our Kindergarten parents are invited to join us for our Tears and Cheers Social. Click here for the invite.

We would love for you to stay connected this year with your PTA, so be sure you sign up for your family PTA membership, update your profile on our website with all your Lakeview kiddos and request to receive our email blasts here. Be sure to connect on our PTA Facebook page.

Coming up next month, we have our Bobcat Family Fun night on September 10th. Please register your family in advance so your PTA can plan on attendance here. We would also like to invite our Lakeview parents to attend our first PTA Membership Meeting with a Meet & Greet with our Principals and school counselor on September 14 at 6:30 pm.

We are so excited to represent Lakeview as a School of Excellence in our community. It takes a village to attain this achievement and I look forward to leading our PTA this year.

We have our second round of Spirit Wear open if you missed the first order period. We will close sales on Sunday, September 12th. This year the PTA was able to sponsor our class grade level shirts. Please click here to complete form with your child's size and name for delivery. All spirit wear and grade level shirts will be delivered end of September.

A huge THANK YOU to our COMMUNITY PARTNERS that made an early commitment to the Lakeview PTA for the 2021-22 school year. We are thrilled to partner with them for Bobcat Family Fun Night, Bobcat Dash and our Spring Auction and Fundraiser. The Lakeview PTA still needs sponsorships to continue reaching our goals of enriching the education of our students and supporting Lakeview teachers and staff!

There are only a few sponsorships available at the Bobcat and Platinum levels. Interested in how your family or business can be a Lakeview Community Partner? Contact our chair, Jade Brooker, or visit our website to sign up.

Calling All Volunteers - We need YOU!

The PTA's goal is to enrich the environment for our children, families and community. It takes many volunteers to make that happen and parent volunteers are always necessary and welcome!

We are currently looking to fill the following key positions as soon as possible. If you are interested in helping out, contact Melinda at 704-562-9895, melwebb2011@hotmail.com.

  1. The Community Sponsorship Co-Chair will help recruit local business and families to join the Annual Community Partner (CP) Program; track and manage each CP and what all they qualify for at each level, gather documents, logos, and information from local businesses and families, deliver appreciation gifts throughout the year, make sure the CPs get all the perks they signed up for, keep up with all communication and correspondence with CPs.

  2. The Community Outreach Chair helps the Lakeview PTA maintain a positive relationship with our surrounding community. The chair of this position will make sure Community Partners receive updates on how their sponsorships are benefiting Lakeview and continue to thank our business partners throughout the year with correspondence and small gifts to maintain a positive relationship.

  3. Yearbook committee member - Assisting Lilly Szutoo-Read with various aspects of the yearbook.

  4. Decorating Volunteers needed for the Lakeview Homecoming Float committee. Homecoming is October 13th and the theme this year is “Blast from the Past”. Please message Leslie Greco-Pool if you are interested in having some fun decorating our float and joining us in the parade at grecopool@me.com

Just need more information? Fill out our google form so we can find a volunteer position that is just the right fit for you! >Click here
