Greetings from the PTA Hello, Lakeview Families! It is hard to believe that it is already October! Your Lakeview PTA has enjoyed welcoming students, parents, new families, teachers, and staff back to the Lakeview campus and hopes everyone is settling into the rhythm of a new school year.
A HUGE "Thank you!" to Lyndsey Bourne and her team for distributing our PTA Sponsored Grade Level T-shirts to EVERY Lakeview student last week!
Carrie Davis and her team of talented volunteers deserve a "Shout Out" for making the Lakeview Homecoming float such an incredible experience for our staff and students.
Your PTA has continued working hard to bring you an exciting lineup of events for October. So, please MARK.YOUR.CALENDARS!
Warmly,
Ann DeCapite PTA President PTA Membership
The Lakeview PTA was awarded several Membership Awards for the 2017/18 school year and we are on target to earn them back for this current school year! Currently we have just over 400 PTA members which qualifies us for the Head Start Award (75% of membership by end of August), and we are on target for the Early Bird Award (100% membership by end of September which would be 429) and the Golden Apple Award (100% teacher participation).
We need YOU to join our amazing organization! Joining your Lakeview PTA will allow you to get connected, utilize great resources to support your child in education, the arts, health & safety, tap into a network of people in your community, utilize your skills by volunteering, provide an outlet to voice concerns, witness improvements, be a role model for students, and enjoy member perks through several corporate companies.

Bobcat Dash:
The Bobcat Dash is Lakeview's major fundraiser for the year and helps the PTA, in collaboration with the school, to provide programs and activities for our students, parents, and staff. The proceeds go directly to Lakeview Elementary PTA to benefit PTA activities and Lakeview Elementary! > Click here for the information that was sent home in your child's Bobcat Binder/folder.
Survey Says! On Wednesday, you will receive an email from Dr. Seltzer inviting you to participate in a survey to have a role in determining where the PTA can efficiently spend funds raised this year from the Bobcat Dash. We will officially announce our goals at the Bobcat Dash Pep Rally on October 19th. The Lakeview PTA will host a Bobcat Dash Fundraising Night at Kendra Scott Southlake on Thursday, November 8th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Be sure to join us!
