| Greetings from the PTA Hello Lakeview Families! I cannot believe that it is already December and the first part of the school year is almost over. There are not adequate words to express my gratitude to the hundreds of volunteers who have made the first part of this year an amazing success! Whether you volunteered one hour or one hundred hours or simply showed your support by joining PTA, none of what we accomplished could be achieved without YOU!
To recap, we had a memorable kick-off for Back To School with the Hall Decorating, School Supply Distribution, Meet the Teacher night, Back To School Teacher Luncheon, Pool Party, and the Kindergarten Tears & Cheers reception. Your PTA provided a complimentary Grade Level T-shirt to EVERY student, had the BEST Homecoming Float in the Byron Nelson High School Homecoming parade, organized the student's favorite Spooky Skate with record attendance on a rainy night, hosted Donuts with Dads and kicked off our amazing WatchDOGS program. Our enthusiastic fundraising team started the year by designing and offering a incredible selection of Spirit Wear, organized our BoxTops, Tom Thumb and AmazonSmile programs, as well as, executed a flawless Super Heroes themed Bobcat Dash. This year's Bobcat Dash featured different groups of Super Heroes in our communities, and included Kendra Scott Night, a Silent Auction, and the beloved Dash obstacle course that our kids enjoy SO much! Our hospitality team hosted the Thanksgiving Teacher Luncheon while the incredible Room Moms coordinated volunteers to cover lunch periods so that every teacher could enjoy the luncheon. One of our final accomplishments was to have successfully submitted Lakeview's application for the National PTA School of Excellence program. By the end of this year, Lakeview will be recognized as a National PTA School of Excellence along with 259 other schools across the country.
Upcoming events this year include the Student Holiday Shop, Parent's Night Out, Teacher Holiday Breakfast and the fun Winter Parties for each grade.Your dedication to our school is immeasurable. I am SO grateful to be a part of this amazing Lakeview family! There are many great things to come in 2019! I welcome you to join us! Your reward for being a part of PTA is knowing that you are investing in making memories for your student(s) and being part of a community of families that share more in common than we realize. We cannot accomplish all that we do without YOU! Have a blessed holiday season! ðŸ¾ðŸ’™ðŸ¾ðŸ’™ðŸ¾ Warm Regards, Ann DeCapite Lakeview PTA President Bobcat Dash Update We are proud to announce that student donations for the 2018 Bobcat Dash exceeded $40,000!
