WOW! It is already March, and so many exciting things are happening at Lakeview Elementary School this spring! First, I would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to Lyndsey Bourne, our VP of Fundraising, as well as, the entire committee who organized the “Wild About the 80s” party and silent auction fundraiser on Saturday night. It was an incredibly fun walk down memory lane for many of us. Regardless of when you grew up, no one could resist singing along to “Livin’ On a Prayer”? On behalf of the entire PTA leadership team, we would also like to thank our business sponsors and everyone who purchased tickets and came out to support your Lakeview PTA. It was incredibly fun to see everyone enjoying a night of great music, making memories with good friends, and investing in the future of Lakeview Elementary School! Our preliminary numbers indicate that we raised over $10,000 and we can’t wait for you to see how that gets poured back into Lakeview in ways that directly benefit our students and teachers. Whether you volunteered for 10 minutes or 100 hours toward bringing this event to fruition, we are humbled and grateful for the continuous and generous support from our Lakeview families.
Tomorrow night, Tuesday, March 3rd, we have Science & Multicultural Night and Art Reflections Showcase at 6:30 pm, immediately following Open House.
It is also time for Lakeview Elementary PTA board elections to be held on Tuesday, April 14. The nominating committee is already working on the slate of candidates they will present as the proposed leadership team for the 2020-2021 school year. If you would like to be considered for a leadership position with Lakeview PTA, please contact the Nominating Committee chair, Hilary Holcomb at firstname.lastname@example.org for additional information.
Before you know it, the end of the school year will be here! There is still a lot to accomplish! As always, we could not do what we do without YOU!
